It is important to me as an artist to be innovative. My approach to each painting is dependent on my desires to explore and work freely as each painting evolves. I enjoy working spontaneously while allowing each stage or layer of a painting to suggest what comes next. In an attempt to keep my subject matter fresh, I embrace change and set no limits by confining myself to one medium. Alternative materials allow me to enhance significant details and pinpoint expressions of emotion, mood, form, color, texture and light while elements based on nature are painted as my own.
