Early works in this series are based upon realistic plant forms created from observational drawings. Later pieces reflect an evolution that delves more deeply into the realm of abstraction and simplistic marks suggesting silhouette-like versions of the early works. Natural consequences resulting from a continual progression over time include changes in paint applications, rich surface texture as well as shifts in compositional focus.
